Ranks from the Customs Anti Narcotic Unit (CANU) yesterday intercepted another three items of mail containing a quantity of cocaine.
The mail which was destined for the United States was found at the Guyana Post Office Corporation during a continued operation.
According to Surujbans Rao, a CANU Intelligence Officer, the cocaine totaled 70 grams.
He added that the illicit substance was concealed in sympathy cards which matched those found during a similar operation on Thursday.
It was noted that the addresses found on the mail also matched the ones found on those the day before.
On Thursday 13 items of mail were found with cocaine totaling some 300 grams. Investigations are ongoing.
