– Health Minister
The services provided by the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation’s Medical Outpatient Department are back in full. This is according to Health Minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy.
Dr. Ramsammy noted that the Department is being housed in the Genito Urinary Medical (GUM) Clinic building, which is below the Malaria clinic.
The Minister is advising persons who may require the service to visit the department which is back in operation and providing all the services it previously offered. Persons are being advised to use the Middle Street entrance.
The Minister is further advising persons not to overwhelm the GPHC Accident and Emergency Unit for treatment as they have been doing since the fire.
On Wednesday last the Medical Outpatient Department building was among one of the buildings destroyed by fire which is believed to be the work of an arsonist.
And the inmates of the Psychiatric Ward are now housed at the Psychiatric Hospital in New Amsterdam.
Was Jagdeo honest when he made those promises?
