A 13-year-old, who allegedly stole one music cart valued at $ 800,000, two gold rings,100 Digicel $200 flex cards, and two silver rings from Michael Scipio, has to remain in jail until August 25.
On August 12, last, he allegedly committed the act while, according to Police Prosecutor Denise Griffith, Scipio had parked his chart on Brickdam and had fallen asleep. He woke up to find his cart missing.
He then made a report at the police station. The police, acting on information, arrested the defendant who was charged with the offence.
When the defendant was asked where his parents were, he said that they left the country to try to make a better life for him.
The magistrate then asked whether he had any relatives present in the court to which he said no, but that he has a sister who resides in B Field Sophia.
