Sol Guyana Inc officially launched its Shell Money Match promotion at the Shell Bel Air Park service station yesterday. The promotion offers some US$50,000 in prizes to lucky patrons.
Customers are eligible to enter the competition with a minimum purchase of $3,000 in gasoline.
The halves of the same value note on the game pieces must be matched in order to qualify to win cash prizes.
The prizes of US$5 and US$20 can be claimed at any of the participating Shell stations countrywide; but the winners who possess pieces amounting to more than US$20 are to present their halves to the local SOL office.
With every purchase, a game piece is obtainable. The game piece is a card that is scratched to reveal prizes, which are then matched to instantly win cash prizes.
The game pieces bear face values ranging from US$5 to US$5,000, but only one lucky patron will win the US$5,000 prize.
The cash prizes are redeemable in local currency. The Shell Money Match promotion commenced yesterday and concludes on September 30, or while stocks last.
Managers told this newspaper that matching notes submitted after October 10 will be deemed null and void.
