A Sunday afternoon raid by the Joint Services in the backlands of Eccles, East Bank Demerara netted a total of 120 marijuana plants in a field. The plants were between one and five feet in height.
The field contained about 120 marijuana plants between one and five feet in height. The ranks also found a camp containing a quantity of dried cannabis.
The marijuana field and the camp were destroyed, and a man is in police custody awaiting charges.
And, at about 19:50 hours last Sunday, ranks at a roadblock at Craig, also on the East Bank of Demerara, stopped and searched a minibus that was en route to Georgetown and found a bag with 260 grams of dried cannabis.
Another man was arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
