– prepares for International tourney
The Over-35 Rugby Club yesterday met at the GNIC Sports Club for their Annual General Meeting and elected a new executive to run their affairs even as they prepare for an up-coming international tournament.
Experienced Rugby official Colonel John Lewis was chosen as their President, while assisting him will be Terrence Grant, who is Secretary, Treasurer Michael Carrega and Public Relations Officer William Blackman.
It was disclosed that the club will begin preparations for the annual visit of the Trinidad and Tobago Enthusiasts Club immediately. The clash is set for November 1 with the Trinidadians set to arrive on October 31.
A few teams from the United States are also expected to add more intensity to the November event if all goes well with their planning to travel to Guyana.
The Over-35’s will commence training, with sessions to be held every Sunday starting at 9:00am.
