Dwayne Thomas, of 68 West Front Road, who sells DVDs from a mobile facility, found himself in the path of a minibus yesterday afternoon at the intersection of Broad and Saffon Streets in Charlestown.
Thomas sustained injuries to his feet and hands when the bus struck him. The mobile cart, ‘Magic Stick’ from which he sold the DVDs was damaged beyond repair.
Eyewitnesses said that the bus was traveling at a fast rate when it struck Thomas who was proceeding to cross the road.
The driver of the minibus, however, refuted this claim. Police are investigating the matter.
