The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) as part of its Centennial celebrations will be hosting Trinidad and Tobago team Comets in a friendly 20/20 match under floodlights today, at the Banks DIH ground, Thirst Park.
The other game that will form part of a double-header will pit Lusignan versus New Line Aqua Farm (formerly Canal #1).
According to a release from the club, the game is the initial kick start of a number of planned activities to celebrate 100 years (1912-2012) of existence.
The release further stated that all funds accrued from the list of activities planned will be used to facilitate the restoration of a number of areas of the club and the public is hereby urged to come out and support the various ventures the club has organised as part of its fund raising endeavours.
Starting time is 16:00 hrs and admission to the ground is $200. A well stocked bar and music will be in attendance.
