Three youths, described as being in their early teens, yesterday carted off an undisclosed sum of money during a brazen robbery at KFC at Bagotstown, East Bank Demerara.
According to eyewitnesses, the boys calmly strolled up to the fast food outlet and one went in picked up a bottle that was holding donations and ran out of the establishment.
The guard was reportedly forced to abandon any attempts at chasing the men after one of the youths, who was armed, discharged a round into the air.
An investigation has been launched.
