Walter Jordan, the man who once wrote the column ‘Watch Your Language’ in the pages of this newspaper, and father of Kaieteur News reporter Michael Jordan, passed away at his Tucville home last night after a brief illness.
Mr Jordan, who prided himself on his command of the English Language, was at pains to ensure that reporters and commentators used the language correctly.
When he retired, he took to keeping himself active at his home, planting kitchen crops and writing letters to the press in his effort to correct situations that might have been misconstrued.
Kaieteur News extends its heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved relatives of the late Walter Jordan.
