– foul play suspected
NUMBER SIXTY-THREE VILLAGE, CORENTYNE – The body of an unidentified man of African descent was found on the Number Sixty-Three Beach, Corentyne with its throat slashed. The body also appeared to have been burnt in several places.
The discovery was made at about 07:30 hours yesterday.
According to police reports, the man is suspected to be in his 20s, is five feet, three inches tall, and of dark complexion.
At the time the victim met his demise, he was wearing a mauve jersey, a pair of blue jeans and a pair of orange coloured running shoes.
The body is at the Skeldon Hospital Morgue awaiting identification. The police became aware of the body after receiving a tip-off.
