DEAR EDITOR,
One just has to read the letters pages of the Guyana Chronicle to find out how disgustingly biased and slanted our country’s national newspaper is.
It is ludicrous and disgusting to read letters with fictitious names attacking any person or organisation that makes positive criticisms of the President, his government, or the PPP/C. The letters pages of the Guyana Chronicle are a sham of public views and opinions.
Kwame McKoy should strike a balance by pointing out why the Guyana Chronicle continues to insult the intelligence of its readership.
Can Kwame, the Government’s mouthpiece, shine some light on whether he thinks that the Guyana Chronicle is an unbiased newspaper?
Gordon Moseley reported the views of those Guyanese who would never have had the same opportunity to publicly express theirs through the pro-Government media houses.
This is a classic example of where imbalance breeds balance. Kwame should tell us of the nice praise the President received in Antigua. Give us some sound bites on behalf of your Government. Let’s strike the balance.
Oh, Kwame, you are one of the only real names on the letters pages defending, blindly, your President. This is understood, because your job entails that.
Can you honestly criticise your President if he does some things not necessarily the right way in Guyana?
