Local Golfers will be back in action today after an improvement in the weather to compete in a specially arranged Club tournament at Lusignan Golf course.
Club Captain of the Lusignan Golf Club Patrick Prashad disclosed that following an inspection by the Club supervisor the “Green Light” was given to run off the Full Handicap Stableford tournament.
Most of the regular players eager to return to the course are expected to take part in the tournament including Brian Gladford, Colin Ming, Prashad, Ronald Bulkhan, Gavin Todd, Melissa Humphrey, Dr. Ram Singh, Albert Semple, Maurice Solomon, Ian Gouveia, Brian Hackett, Iran Khan and Chatterpaul Deo.
Prizes in the form of gift vouchers will be presented to the top three finishers in addition there will be a special prize for Nearest to the Flag. Tee off is at 12:30 hours – shot gun start will be employed.
Meanwhile, preparations are going apace for the Annual fund-raising Greensome Event slated for August 3 at Lusignan which is expected to involve golfing activities and a Take-Away Lunch.
