DEAR EDITOR,
On May 18th, 2006, my family made payment to GPL for connection of electricity. I am presently living at 361 Ordnance Fortlands, East Canje, Berbice.
To date, nothing has happened, we are still without electricity. Two years and over is a very long time. Can GPL say something about this?
On the13th of June, 2008, GPL came in to connect all nearby residences with the service, and not to mention, they left my house out.
This is ridiculous and very disturbing .We went in to the office of GPL and investigated about the situation.
They told us that no work was done in the area, which obviously is a lie. Again, two years and over is a very long time.
After going constantly to the office, they finally decided to send in the order. On June 25th, 2008, the connecting crew came over to our house.
Being there, they told us that there is not enough power line to do connection; however, they will come back the next day. The next day no GPL crew showed up.
They took our connection fees and I need my electricity.
