A 26-year-old Berbician is now a patient at the Skeldon Hospital after he was shot following an argument with a pedal cyclist near the Number 63 Beach.
Safraz Bacchus, of Line Path, Skeldon, was shot in the groin, at about 17:30 hours on Sunday, by the pedal cyclist, who subsequently made good his escape.
According to the Police, Bacchus and three friends were on their way to the No. 63 Beach when it is reported that a man on a bicycle crashed into their vehicle.
An argument ensued, during which it is alleged that the cyclist pulled out a firearm and shot Bacchus, then escaped.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
