After the first day of action in the Dolphin hosted Inter-Club Swim meet taking place at eth 25 yard Colgrain Pool, the host club has taken the lead ahead of Silver Sharks and Dorado.
The first day of competition, yesterday afternoon, saw male competitors facing off in the 1500 yards free style event which saw each athlete swimming the pool a total of 60 lengths. Taking the top spot among the 13 – 14 boys was Linden Wickham in a time of 20 minutes 35.36 seconds.
Second was Joseph Seguina who completed the distance in 21 minutes 46.61 with Marcus Jardin next in 22 minutes 53.60 seconds.
Taking the number one spot in the 15 – 17 age group was Henk Lowe (18:54.69) ahead of Steven Soares (21:19.76).
In the 18 and over class, Jason King claimed victory in 25 minutes 01.67 seconds. Sean Somerson was second best in 25:22.02.
Competition will continue tomorrow at the same venue from 16:15hrs. Events slated are the 800yd free, 400yd free and 100 yd individual medley.
Warm up starts at 15:30hrs.
