DEAR EDITOR,
Last Sunday, I attended the football match between Guyana and Suriname at the National Stadium.
Although the result was disappointing, what was more disappointing was that, since I attended the inaugural opening cricket match, there seems to have been very little or no work done to complete the finishing touches to the stadium grounds.
Inside the stadium perimeter, grounds are still rough, without any landscaping.
The approach from the public road to the security ticket check-in is just a mud track.
And why, when nearly 8,000 people attended, did drivers have to park in an even muddier area that was un-marshalled? And exiting was just a nightmare, when the stadium car park was unused.
