Pepsi is leading the way in supporting the ‘Golden Jaguars’ to victory tomorrow at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
Pepsi is the first company to throw its support towards the Golden Jaguars. The company is now encouraging all Guyanese to attend the game tomorrow and support Guyana as they face Suriname in the second qualifying round of the World Cup games.
DDL Marketing Director, Sharda Veeren-Chand, says that “Pepsi is looking forward to a Guyana win on Sunday.
We believe in the potential of the Golden Jaguars and as a football team they will certainly make us proud as a country. It is important for every Guyanese to go out and roar with the jaguars.”
According to Veeren-Chand, “football is part of Pepsi’s passion and the company is committed to the development of the sport in Guyana. The Golden Jaguars should be proud about their accomplishments. Their outstanding performance recently is certainly an inspiration to all young footballers.”
Guyana Football Federation President, Colin Klass, says that “for a long time I have been challenging the private sector in Guyana to support the National Team and Pepsi’s leadership in the Golden Jaguars World Cup campaign at this stage is critical to the team’s success in the next round.”
He added that “fan support is a critical factor in this game. And the Pepsi investment went directly to the efforts to promote the game to fans.”
Despite Guyana’s 1-0 loss against Suriname last Saturday, Pepsi showed its unwavering support by welcoming the team at the Moleson Creek Ferry Stelling the next day, Sunday when they returned to Guyana overland.
The Pepsi models along with the rest of the Pepsi team gave the ‘Golden Jaguars’ a heartfelt welcome as they exited the ferry. And this was followed by a road show from the Corentyne to Georgetown.
Banks Beer and Church’s Chicken have also shown their support behind the ‘Golden Jaguars’.
Both companies are official sponsors of the game tomorrow, lending vital corporate support at this critical stage of the ‘Golden Jaguars’ World Cup campaign.
