Registrar of the Supreme Court, Sita Ramlal, has recovered from a bout of illness and is out of hospital.
Chief Justice Ian Chang told Kaieteur News yesterday that the Registrar should be returning to Guyana this weekend.
According to the Chief Justice, Ms Ramlal will report for duty on Tuesday dispelling fears that her absence may have affected the upcoming criminal sessions in June.
The June sessions should begin in two weeks and the Registrar has responsibility for preparing the list of jurors.
She is also responsible for ensuring that depositions of criminal cases are ready for High Court Judges.
Ramlal fell ill early in May and according to reports, she had been admitted to a hospital outside of Guyana and was being closely monitored by medical professionals.
