Kaieteur News- The decomposed body of a man was discovered by residents of the area, May 11, 2025, on the Hope Seashore, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
According to a police statement, a 911 call was made to report that a motionless male body was on the seawall. The partly decomposed body was found lying face down between rocks and stones at the front of the Hope Seawall.
The deceased was attired in knee-length black pants and a long-sleeved brown shirt. The body was examined for marks of violence, but none were discovered, due to the state of the decomposition.
Attempts were made to question persons in the area, but no substantial information was received.
The body was then photographed and taken to the Memorial Funeral Parlor Mortuary for storage pending identification and post-mortem examination.
