A number of former national footballers and Masters players will be on show today at the Parade ground. They will be playing for the Peter Barry trophy in a specially organised game put on by former national standout Deon Barnwell.
Barnwell informed that the game is in honour of two players who would be celebrating their birthdays. The pair is former nationals Sean O’Neal and ‘Sir’ Anthony Stanton. Both, especially Stanton, have given Guyana and fans a healthy serving of outstanding football over the years.
They and others will try to roll back the years as they play today. The two teams will be captained by Stanton and O’Neal respectively. Action at Parade ground starts at 11:00am.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
