– New Drop-in Centre to be built in Sophia
During the opening of tenders at the National procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday, contractors vied for the contracts to rehabilitate three police stations located along East Coast Demerara.
The Ministry of Public Infrastructure was listed as the procuring entity.
For the rehabilitation of the Alberttown Police Station, Region Four (Demerara/Mahaica):
Contractors also submitted bids for the rehabilitation of the Sparendaam Police Station:
For the rehabilitation of the Mahaicony Police Station, Region Five (Mahaica/Berbice):
The Ministry of Social Protection was listed as the procuring entity for several contracts.
For the construction of a drop-in Centre at Block ‘C’ Sophia, Georgetown:
The Ministry is also the procuring entity for the provision of security services for all of the Ministry’s locations:
For the supply and delivery of cooked meals for the Night Shelter:
The Ministry of the Presidency was listed as the procuring entity for the procurement of a Mitigation Assessment Consultant.
The Ministry of Public Telecommunications was listed as the procuring entity for Network Infrastructure Internal Controls Assessment
Bids were also submitted for the contract to refurbished concrete apron at the western forecourt of the Public Building. The Parliament Building is the procuring entity.
The entity will also be standing the cost for the replacement of the floor of the stores, Public Buildings
Bids were also submitted for the resurfacing of the concrete Pavement – south and west, outside of the Public Building.
Guyana School of Agriculture Corporation is the procuring entity for the supply, delivery, installation and testing of Fire Protection System.
Bids were submitted for the sonstruction of concrete Koker at Kortberaadt, East Berbice/Corentyne. The Ministry of Communities is the procuring entity.
The Demerara Harbour Bridge Corporation (DHBC) is the procuring entity for the supply of 30,000 galvanized wire rope (unit of measurement was not stated).
The DHBC is also the procuring entity for the rehabilitation of five large pontoons and gantry.
Contractors also submitted bids for the supply and delivery of road safety materials for the Ministry of Public Infrastructure
