Dear Editor,
I have waited this long to compare this company who recognizes its shareholders, than the other who do not. A certain insurance company held its Annual Shareholders Meeting last year at 4:30pm with their theme being CELEBRATING 125 YEARS OF INSURANCE. We, the shareholders listened attentively to various discourses from the directors of the insurance body.
Time for Refreshments. One had a choice of (1) drink or (1) beer. I hope everyone gets me clearly, one drink only for each shareholder, along with a box of eatables.
This indeed was a shocker in comparison with previous years, so I ventured to see what the Board Directors were having for refreshments and drinks. If every male and female shareholders, who prefer a beer, were to total this sum, it would be infinitesimal to what the directors were having. Obviously the latter have better taste to that of shareholders.
Unfortunately neo-colonialism struck me that this form of deprivation exists here, whereby the masters get the best, the servant gets the leftovers. Of note, these directors do not mingle with shareholders.
Banks D.I.H. held their shareholders meeting on Saturday 28th January, 2017 at 5:00pm. At the conclusion of their meeting, their bar was open to all on sundry until 8:30pm, not one beer, not one drink but several. See the difference of who cares?
