As West Indies and Pakistan concluded their T20 series yesterday, the Caribbean tour by Pakistan now turns to the three (3) One Day Internationals slated for Guyana, at the National Stadium, Providence. The matches in Guyana are expected to give West Indies the leading edge, as they seek to take advantage of the favorable pitch and ground conditions at Providence, to ensure a clean sweep of Pakistan and to register and reinstate their dominance.
Today, both teams, West Indies and Pakistan will arrive in Guyana at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, at Timehri. The highly competitive Pakistan side, which has given the West Indies a fierce challenge so far, will arrive with their buoyant West Indian competitors, on the Caribbean airline chartered Flight BW 8000 at 13:55 hours. The arrival will leave Pakistan with just three days of preparation, before their first One Day 50 Overs International match at Providence on Friday 7 April.
The other two matches in Guyana, will be played at the said venue, National Stadium, Providence, and will be played on Sunday 9 April, and Tuesday 11 April. All matches in Guyana are scheduled to commence at 09:30, and prospective spectators are asked to uplift their tickets before the match days, so as to reduce the congestion at the frequently stringent Providence, ground entrances.
Tickets and car passes can be acquired online or at the Guyana Cricket Board office, situated on Regent Street, Bourda between 08:00 and 18:00 hours on all days preceding the match dates.
