A fine century by Javid Karim coupled by a five-wicket haul from Chris Madoo handed Rosignol a 103-run victory over Woodley Park when the West Berbice Cricket Association Republic Bank D’Edward branch inter secondary schools T20 competition commenced recently.
Playing at Blairmont Centre ground, Karim struck eight fours and seven sixes in scoring 112 and got support from Lochan Hughes 94 (4×6,5×6) as Rosignol posted 221 without lost, batting first. Woodley Park were skittled for 17 in reply as Madoo bagged 5-6.
At Bush Lot, the home team Beat Belladrum by 42 runs. Batting first, Bush Lot scored145 for 6. Marvan Prashad hit 60 and Christopher Harry 15; Kurtis Mascall had 3-2. Belladrum in reply made 103 all out in 14.2 overs. Vikash Singh got 21 Quncy Aulder 16 and Freston Noble 14. Bowling for Bush Lot Christopher Harry, Shahid Baksh and Prashad took two wickets each.
