– Financial proposals in for study on Soesdyke/Linden Highway rehab
During the opening of tenders at the National Tender and Procurement Administration Board (NPTAB), at the Ministry of Finance yesterday in Georgetown, bids were submitted for the reconstruction of sea defences.
The procuring entity was listed as the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and the engineer’s estimate was announced at US$9.4M (approximately G$2B).
Among the bidders was China Harbours Engineering Company Limited (CHEC) – the company currently carrying out works on the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) Airport Expansion Project.
China Railway First Group Company Limited is also among those bidding. That company is expected to commence works on the halted East Coast Demerara Expansion Project.
The sea defence project also attracted first-time bidder, Aannemingsmaatschappij Baitali N.V. operating out of neighbouring Suriname.
Financial proposals were also opened for the feasibility study and design for the rehabilitation of the Soesdyke/Linden Highway. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure was listed as the procuring entity.
Financial proposals were submitted for consultancy services for engineering designs and supervision of works for the rehabilitation of drainage and irrigation system which entails the earthworks, structures and access dams.
The contract was announced in three Lots: Lot one, Ithaca; Lot two, Buxton; and Lot three, Triumph.
Bids were also submitted for the rehabilitation of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF)’s Hangar Complex. The engineer’s estimate was announced at $67.5M.
Tenders were submitted for the procurement of air conditioning maintenance services for the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
Bids were also opened for cleaning and maintenance services at CJIA.
For the cleaning, clearing and maintenance of the sewerage system of the CJIA, there was a sole bidder.
Cevon’s Waste Management was the sole bidder for the CJIA contract which entails the collection, removal and disposal of domestic and international garbage.
Tenders were also opened for the procurement of cutting and removal of grass on the landside of the airport.
Tenders were opened for the procurement of pest control services for the CJIA.
Contractors also vied for a Ministry of Public Telecommunications’ contract which entails the provision of security services for the Arthur Chung Convention Centre.
Bids were also submitted for the procurement of security services for the Ministry of Public Telecommunications.
Finally, bids were opened for the supply and installation of LED lamps and occupancy sensors. The Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) was listed as the procuring entity.
