Regionally respected sports commentator, journalist and analyst, Trinidad and Tobago-
based Guyanese, Brij Parasnath yesterday donated signed copies of his most recent and updated Cricket Records to the National Sports Commission (NSC) archives and library.
Parasnath said that the donation is an attempt to ensure that the Commission and individuals administrating sports are always well informed. He believes history and records are a vital part of that information process as exemplified in his consistent editing and publication of Cricket Records.
Parasnath commended the work that Minister Nicolette Henry, who has responsibility for Culture, Youth and Sport, and Director of Sport, Christopher Jones, has been doing to raise the profile of sports in Guyana.
NSC Commissioners, Seon Erskine and Edison Jefford received the fully colored magazine printed on gloss paper on behalf of Jones, who was at another forum at the time. Erskine thanked Parasnath for what he deemed a worthy gesture.
