Two children are now dead following yet another fatal accident on the roadways.
The children have been identified as 10-month-old, Baby Marvin, and his seven-year-old sister, Tina, both of Covent Garden East Bank Demerara.
According to sources, the children were in a car with their mother, Michelle Miguel, and their stepfather, Mark Halley, heading to Parika when tragedy struck.
A police source told this publication that the incident occurred some time after 02:00hrs yesterday along the Blankenburg Public Road, West Coast Demerara.
Information reaching this publication stated that the car, PRR 38, reportedly being driven by Halley, lost control and ran into two vehicles that were parked on the southern side of the thoroughfare.
Both children were pronounced dead on arrival at the Leonora Diagnostic Centre.
Meanwhile, Halley and Miguel are in a critical state at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).
The death of these two children came days after the death of four-year-old Ambeka Providence, of Lot 133 D’Andrade Street, Newtown.
The toddler died on the spot after she and her mother were involved in an accident on Sheriff Street, Georgetown earlier this week.
