Under-16 boxers will be involved in keen competition today when the Guyana Boxing Association stages the Pepsi sponsored Mike Parris tournament at the National Gymnasium starting at 1:00pm.
This is the second edition of this tournament for the year, the first being in April when the first Schoolboys and Juniors tournament was held here.
Nine gyms will be participating in today’s action featuring over 20 boxers. The defending champion is the Essequibo gym, which is under the guidance of Coach Clifton Moore and led by the talented Shaquincy Wright.
Another such tournament is slated for December.
