Dear Editor,
Yesterday, on Facebook, Terry Gajraj who is supposedly a Guyanese icon, showed off pictures of himself and a man who had a bunch of Iguanas tied up. There were pregnant ones in the picture. It was most sickening to read the comments that Terry’s friends made. All they saw was meat and eggs and forgot that like all of us, these innocent animals have a right to life. And at least some form of humanity towards them. Facebook is now the place where humankind’s extreme depravity is shown off for the world to see. The horror of this is that there are many who condone and facilitate these shows of wanton cruelty and inhumanity.
The son of a very big car dealership at Good Hope has photos on Facebook showing him and his friends hunting, catching and slaughtering baby alligators.
It is most shocking at the lack of humanity in these people especially someone like Terry Gajraj. Is this the message he has for children who listen to him and idolize him? This Government needs to implement laws to protect the innocent creatures of our country because at the rate things are happening soon all will be wiped out.
