The Foreign Ministry Sports Promotion will host a one day Tapeball cricket competition dubbed ‘Golden Jubilee Emancipation Affair’ at the National Cultural Centre Tarmac this Sunday July 31.
Activities get underway at 09:00hrs and participation would be among teams from the various Ministries. The winning team collects $20,000, the Media Social Cohesion trophy and medals, while the runners up will win a trophy. Team captains may visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, South Road, Bourda to uplift registration forms. The registration period ends on Thursday July 28 at 16:30hrs and team managers are advised that a small fee would be charged.
Meanwhile, office assistants of that very institution will convene on the lawns of the Ministry’s Protocol Division, New Garden Street, to compete in a 6 teams domino competition this Friday, July 29 from 16:00hrs. Once again teams from all of the respective Ministries are invited to participate and closing date for registration is Thursday July 28 at noon.
The winner will receive the Minister of Citizenship trophy and $20,000 as well as medals for all players of that team. The runners up will pocket $6,000. Those persons wishing to acquire additional information may contact the coordinator, James ‘Uprising’ Lewis at telephone # 628-1656.
