German’s Restaurant has supported the National male U19 Rugby team which is slated to participate in the Rugby America North (RAN) 15’s championship in Miami in July.
The entity presented the sum of $100,000 to president of the Guyana Rugby Union Peter Green at a simple ceremony held at its location in New Market Street.
Proprietor of the Restaurant Clinton Urling said he is happy to assist the team and wish them well. He said the venture is part of the restaurant outreach programme which is their way of giving back to the society.
Green thanked the entity for their support and expressed confidence of the team doing well.
The Guyanese will play for the RAN trophy and will take on the Bahamas on July 10 before playing Jamaica on July 12. Their final game will be against St. Lucia on July 15.
The team will depart on July 7.
