The National Sports Commission in collaboration with the Ministry of Education successfully hosted a cricket coaching clinic for teachers in the Bartica recently.
Participants from 15 primary and seven secondary schools were introduced to the basics of cricket which was held at the Bartica Community Centre from June 14-16.
Sessions were conducted by Coaches Latchman Yadram and Daniel Richmond. Teachers in the area welcomed the initiative. Amanda Grant of Agatash Primary said the programme was informative and it will benefit not only the teachers but the students. Coach Yadram indicated that he was pleased with the response.
