Dear Editor,
The massive cleanup of the capital Georgetown led by City Hall is a great thing for Guyana. The effort by all involved is highly commended.
Maintenance of the level of cleanliness reached would also have to be a priority for the effort to be a success.
Editor, it is hoped that the temporary relocation of the vendors to facilitate the Stabroek Market image enhancement is expedited in a timely and respectful manner. The vendors are all part of our interesting Guyanese fabric that is on display for the world to see.
The Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce Program for the schools initiated by City Hall is a good way to promote the anti-littering culture among the youth and all Guyanese as a whole. This initiative should be promoted in schools country wide. Finally, is it possible for Kaieteur News to provide coverage on cleanup and anti-littering activities being promoted throughout Guyana, especially in the other densely populated areas?
Keith Fraser.
Please share this to every Guyanese including your house cats.
