– Be prepared for an economic boost, says Tourism Minister
The Minister of Public Telecommunications with Responsibility for Tourism, Catherine Hughes during her remarks at the launch of the Golden Jubilee last evening, said that Guyana should prepare for an economic boost.
The event was held at the Colgrain House, Georgetown and saw attendance of various foreign dignitaries, business proprietors, local and international artistes, dancers, fashion enthusiasts and other stakeholders.
The Minister during her remarks related that the Jubilee Festival will be held from May 19 to May 22, where Guyanese based locally and abroad, as well as tourists, will be treated to a true ‘Guyanese experience”.
The organisers are promising four days filled with rich Guyanese culture, food, arts and craft; the performing arts; fashion, music etc
The minister encouraged participants to take advantage and to upgrade their capacity to accommodate the “thousands” that are expected to come to Guyana during the festival.
