Joint Services to conduct operations in lead-up to LGE
– Ask public not to be alarmed
The Joint Services will today commence a Field Tactical Exercise, Exercise Steadfast, in the lead up to Operation Plexus which will be conducted during the upcoming Local Government Elections.
Exercise Steadfast follows the recently concluded Command Post Exercise, Exercise Holdfast and will see the conduct of several activities, including road blocks, vehicle and foot patrols and the establishment of Joint Operation Centres at respective Police Divisional Headquarters.
Members of the public are urged to give their co-operation which is vital to the success of the exercise, and not be alarmed by the increased presence of ranks.
Exercise Steadfast will conclude on March 17.
