With the right to represent Guyana at the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Club Championship and possibly the CONCACAF Champions League up for grabs, four of the eight clubs that will be vying for that honour in the final stanza of the STAG Elite League will no doubt be aiming to make impressive starts when competition gets cracking tomorrow with a double header, at the Camp Ayanganna ground.
Starting at 17:30 hrs, League Genesis winners Slingerz FC will do battle with Pele FC that finished third in the opening stanza of the League.
This encounter will be followed by the clash between runners-up Alpha United and Fruta Conquerors.
Matches are being played at the Tucville Community Centre, #5 Ground (Berbice), Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Leonora Stadium and the Buxton Community Centre ground.
The top club will take home $4M, second-placers $2M, third and fourth placed finishers will receive $1M and $500,000 respectively.
Monedderlust, GFC, GDF and Buxton United are the other teams vying for top honours in the League that concludes on May 8.
Among the entities on board apart from Platinum sponsor Ansa McAl are E-Networks, Knight Riders Bus Services and COURTS.
