The Diamond well is continuing to experience technical problems, the Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI) disclosed yesterday.
The problems started Monday, with GWI saying yesterday that it is attempting to supply water to the affected communities from areas between Covent Garden and Grove, East Bank Demerara. Customers residing between Covent Garden and Grove may experience reduced levels of service.
According to the water company, it is transporting water via tanker to customers of Diamond, which is at the extreme end of the distribution network.
The full schedule and streets in which water will be delivered will be posted on the company’s social media pages available at: www.facebook.com/everydropcountsgy and on Twitter: @guyanawaterinc
“Technical teams from GWI are currently working to rectify the challenges at the Diamond Well Station. A camera inspection will be conducted by GWI’s Technical Services Department in order to ascertain the reason for the current difficulties at the well station. GWI will inform the community of the results of the camera inspection.”
