Hope Primary defeated Mahaicony Primary school by 32 runs when the National Sports Commission cricket competition continued recently at Fairfield, East Coast Demerara.
Batting first, Hope mustered 145 all out in 23 overs. Amor Persaud got 57 with five fours and two sixes, while extras contributed 30. Javel Fraser claimed 4-36 and Jonathan Fraser 2-7. Mahaicony were bowled out for 113 in 24 overs in reply. Windell Fordyce scored 31 (4×4, 1×6) while Javel Fraser made 22; extras assisted with 21. Cordel Martins had 2-17, Phillip Doodnauth 2-21 and Gopaul Apple Sammy 2-27.
