With the traffic landscape in Guyana changing rapidly due to the influx of
vehicles, and with the expansion of several communities, the Guyana Police Force (GPF)’s crime fighting capabilities received a shot in the arm with the acquisition of three 150cc motorcycles.
Yesterday, officials from Advance Security presented the cycles to the Guyana Police Force at a simple ceremony at the Tactical Services Unit Square, Police Headquarters, Eve Leary.
Mohamed Ally, Corporate Secretary of the Continental Group of Companies, said that the company saw it fit to recognize the country’s significant 50th Independence Anniversary this year by making the donation.
This is in support of the force’s efforts to maintain public safety and security.
Assistant Commissioner, Balram Persaud, who received the motorcycles on behalf of the force, expressed his appreciation for the timely and commendable gesture by Advance Security, which he indicated will assist with capacity building and with transportation for the effective performance of duties.
