A new business will take Linden by storm soon and create job opportunities for Lindeners. ‘Country Grill’, located in Greenheart Street, Mackenzie, Linden, will cater for family events and professional meetings.
The aim is to provide customers with fast food and jerk with a rapid response time. According to the owner, Joycelyn Gilbert, it is hoped that a fast food chain is developed that will be positioned between traditional fast food restaurants and sit down restaurants.
The goal is to be the top choice for the market segment in Linden and later Guyana as a whole.
She noted that in addition to take out facility, the business location will have modern seating arrangements on the lawns, where professionals can have an outdoor meeting or families can dine, or even an after work cocktail lime.
According to the owner, the concept was birthed by her work experiences with the Jamaican Jerk Centre in Jamaica. Gilbert said that ‘Country Grill’ will have a stainless steel kitchen and people can have a two-piece meal of jerk chicken, fish, pork or spare ribs with fries.
Jerk Fest will be the first event at ‘Country Grill’ on Saturday.
The Jerk Fest is a family event with children rides, trampoline and lots of fun for the family.
