Two men are missing after two boats collided head on in the dark waters of the Mazaruni River last evening.
Kaieteur News understands that up to late last night rescuers were still searching for the bodies of Trevor Persaud and Roy Roopnarine both of Itabali.
The two men were in separate boats, one coming from Bartica while the other was going in the opposition direction, when the collision occurred around 19:45 hours.
One man Cleon Fortune, also of Itabali is in hospital nursing injuries he sustained as a result of the collision.
