On Monday, staffers of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure’s Force Account Unit (FAU) resurfaced the area in front of Stabroek Market.
According to the ministry, the exercise was initiated following a request from the Mayor and City Council (M&CC) for the relocation of the vendors from the dilapidated market stelling to the square in front of Demico House.
The stelling, adjoining the Stabroek Market, is falling apart and there is a plan to conduct repairs.
