Widely recognised as an entity that offers great support to many sports disciplines and organisations, Trophy Stall extended the act of goodwill to the GT Beer / Petra Organisation Futsal Competition by presenting the trophies for the first to fourth placed teams, during a simple ceremony that was conducted, at its Bourda Market location yesterday.
Making the presentation on behalf of the entity was Devi Sunich, wife of Proprietor Ramesh Sunich, who handed over the trophies to Petra Organisation Co-Director Troy Mendonca. Mendonca in his response thanked Sunich for his support, adding that the relationship between the two parties dates back to years ago and remains strong to this day.
Meanwhile, the competition resumes tomorrow with the start of the knockout phase and four matches are planned. The fixtures are as follows: West Front Road battles West Back Road, Sparta Boss goes up against Kitty Weavers, Festival City square off with Albouystown and Bent Street opposes Sophia.
Up for grabs is $500,000 and trophy for the winning team, while the second, third and fourth place finishers take home $250,000, $125,000 and $75,000 respectively. National Milling Company (NAMILCO) and Trophy Stall are the other sponsors on board.
