Dear Sir,
Please permit me a space in your newspaper to inform some folks in the media and in the former hierarchy that GUYANESE are not stupid and that the more you try to lie you look more foolish and even tie yourself closer to the crime.
I just scanned the online edition of the Sunday Times;, the writer and the newspaper should be ashamed to be publishing such garbage ‘MERAI PROVIDES FOOL PROOF ALLIBI.
The only thing that could exonerate Steven Merai from the crimes that he is alleged to have committed is his passport stating that he was not in the country at the time of Mr. Waddell’s death or any other of the accusations.
To compound this crass disrespect to this country as a whole is to say that he was in a gym in Subryanville.
Then we are mad and the average Guyanese doesn’t have a clue how far he was from Waddell’s home on the public road.
Being in such close proximity is already incriminating evidence for a man seen as a DIRTY COP.
Are we to assume that this gym was a resting point to ensure this heinous crime was committed to precision as directed by the intellectual authors or as Sean Hinds said” they does tell you how they want the body left and which gun to use”.
I have every confidence in Minister Ramjattan but not in the current commissioner because some of these crimes were committed when he was Crime Chief and this could compromise many investigations.
