Thirty-two- year- old Eldon Richardson of North Ruimveldt Squatting area was remanded to prison, when he made his court appearance before Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan on Friday to answer a wounding charge.
It is alleged that on July1, last, at Georgetown, he unlawfully and maliciously wounded Sherwin James with intent to maim, disable or disfigure him.
Richardson pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Police Corporal, Deniro Jones, informed the court that the defendant dealt several chops to the victim’s body. He noted that the victim is still hospitalized.
Richardson was remanded until July 20, 2015.
