Shaun McGrath has been re-elected for a second term as President of the Tourism and Hospitality Association of Guyana (THAG). The elections took placed on Tuesday at the Cara Lodge.
Andrea de Caires and Mitra Ramkumar were re-elected to serve as Vice President and Treasurer respectively.
McGrath, in his presentation to the membership, outlined plans to enhance services offered to members, address advocacy concerns and increase membership. He also promised to work assiduously on those aspects not completed during the first term in office.
McGrath, the Chief Executive Officer of Cara Hotels (Guyana and Trinidad), is a Co-founder of THAG. De Caires is a Director of Karanambu Lodge, while Ramkumar is the Finance Controller of Roraima Airways Inc.
The Committee Members are Kevin Daby, General Manager, Grand Coastal Hotel; Annette Arjoon-Martins, Marketing Manager, Air Services Limited; Jacqueline Allicock, Chief Executive Officer of Surama and Teri O’Brien, General Manager of Wilderness Explorers.
Kit Nascimento, Managing Director of Public Communications Consultants Limited, continues to serve as Immediate Past President.
