Former army chief, Major General (Ret’d), Norman McLean, has been elected Chairman of the Private Sector
Commission (PSC). According to the commission, the elections were held on Monday at the Pegasus Hotel, during its Annual General Meeting.
McLean was elected unopposed to the position, while businessman Edward Boyer was re-elected as Vice-Chairman.
McLean has been working closely with the mining sector in recent years.
Ramesh Dookhoo, an executive at Banks DIH, was returned as Secretary, while Fitzroy McLeod was elected to the position of Treasurer.
PSC is a major advocacy body for the business community with its members including banks, manufacturers and tourism operators, among others.
