Several supporters of the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C) again picketed the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM), calling for a recount of the May 11 votes. In the crowd were General Secretary, Clement Rohee and former Prime Minister, Sam Hinds.
However, bystanders were greeted by a sideshow with the presence of Gino Persaud, an official of the watchdog body, Transparency Institute of Guyana Inc (TIGI). He also bore a placard, “The Back of PPP Corruption is Broken.”
