Distribution giant, Ansa McAL under its Carib Beer brand, has sponsored Georgetown’s Cricket Association (GCA) T20 Competition, with the company alluding to its now firm grip on support for sports across the board.
The first division tournament is slated to bowl off later this month with nine teams competing for the top prize. “We have always had cricket at heart you can see that we are committed to all sport at any level,” Ansa McAl’s Public Relations Officer, Darshanie Yussuf boasted.
“This is the cricket season and we are happy that the GCA has given us a chance to help develop our cricketers to reach the next level,” she continued, adding that she is pleased with the work of association at a simple handing over ceremony at the company’s Beterverwagting Headquarters, East Coast Demerara.
President of GCA, Roger Harper, thanked Ansa McAl, and the Carib Beer brand, for the support, stating that the company has a long relationship with the association. Harper informed that 2015 marks the fourth year of such partnership for the tournament.
